Georgia's 3 Tenors
Westobou
Festival:
Georgia's 3 Tenors will be featured at the Westobou Festival in
Augusta, GA, performing "A Salute to Pavarotti!".
We will be performing at historic St. Paul's Episcopal Chruch in
Downtown Augusta on September 20th at 3PM. Tickets are available
throught the Westobou Festival box office. Prices will be $12 for
adults and $10 for Seniors and Students.
The Westobou Festival Concert will feature "A
Salute to Pavarotti", consisting of songs and arias that were
performed by Luciano Pavarotti during his storied solo career and
with The Three Tenors concerts that he organized and helped make
famous. Selections will include Nessun Dorma, O Sole Mio, Granada,
Torna a Surriento and many others, including Donizetti's "Fille
du Regiment" which dubbed Pavarotti "The King of
the High Cs" .
Pavarotti won his place in the pantheon of high C’s with a
run of Donizetti’s “Fille du Régiment” in the 1972-1973
season at the Met. The aria “Pour mon âme” calls for nine of
them in a row, and Mr. Pavarotti tossed them off brilliantly.

All three of Georgia's Three Tenors have looked to Pavarotti
for inspiration and guidance through his performances over the years.
Bart Black said that "having a voice that has the pureness
of Pavarotti, especially in the upper range of the voice, is something
I have worked for over 20 years and still haven't achieved to the
level of Pavarotti. He was truely a Master of the tenor voice."
We look forward to seeing you at the Westobou Festival where
Georgia's Three Tenors will sing a "Tribute to Pavarotti!"
